From Gus R: (Voice) GSA was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned an insane amount about my art form and learned very specific things that mean a lot as a vocal major and as someone who wants to do something with music after college and as a full-time job. I met really good friends and connected with everyone, you never feel left out, and you should never feel nervous or embarrassed about your art because everyone there is an artist, you are surrounded by people who also create and fail at creating a specific project or task they have their mind set on. something I really learned is that if people have recognized that you have talent, you have talent and you have no reason to be nervous while performing or creating in front of an audience.
From Tate W: (Dance/Theatre) This summer I was part of the Governor's School for the Arts program. I stayed on UK's campus for 3 weeks and studied dance every day. It was an amazing opportunity.
