Register for M2 - Fall 2014

Now taking registration for Fall M2. Registration is due Thursday, Aug 21, 2014.

Lafayette’s Mastering Musicianship Program, known as M2, provides for individual music lessons over a 10-week session each semester. (Enrollment is open at the beginning of each semester.) The advantages to this program are cost and convenience. The rate for private lessons in Lexington is well over $15 per half-hour lesson. The M2 program at Lafayette is only $110 for current choir students for the 10-week session, and the majority of the private instruction takes place in the practice rooms of the Lafayette Music department, under the direction of highly qualified music consultants.

Lessons are arranged to accommodate student needs. The majority of the lessons will occur between the hours of 3:30-7:30 pm, Monday thru Thursday.

September 5 and 6, 2014
The University of Kentucky Choral Department (Dr. Jefferson Johnson, Director of Choral Activities) sponsors the Bluegrass Choral Festival. The students will perform in concert on Saturday! The students will also hear short performances by UK’s a cappella pop ensembles--the Acoustikats and Paws and Listen!

(Students must attend 2 LHS rehearsals in order to attend the festival.)

All rehearsals and the concert will be in the Concert Hall of the Singletary Center for Fine Arts on the UK campus. The cost for the Festival is $15.00 per student. (checks payable to Lafayette Chorus Boosters) This includes: registration fee, snacks, and a BCMF T-shirt. You should bring money for meals which you will get on your own at restaurants near the Singletary Center. No transportation is provided. Students must arrange their own rides to Singletary Center.
