Like for all music groups, this year’s winter concert season for Lafayette Choir is unlike any other. The usual concerts and events that are a part of our tradition were not possible this year. But instead, our choirs have succeeded in a herculean effort in creating nine virtual choir pieces to share with families and our community. Virtual ensemble presentations are incredibly time-intensive and present unique challenges for all. Students submitted nearly 300 individual tracks combining their voices to make beautiful recordings of each piece. The recordings were edited and produced without outside engineering, and together, students and directors contributed hundreds of hours to these projects. Each of our six choirs participated in the project and the pieces represent some of our favorite songs from our winter concert tradition. We are immensely proud of our students and their work on this project.
We hope you will enjoy the sights, but most of all, the sounds of these recordings. We encourage you to listen to the full set of pieces as though it were an album. You can play them in full via our YouTube playlist.
