Auditions

It is important to remember that in any audition the person or persons hearing the audition want to hear you at your best! In a choral department audition we want you to be successful. The goal of our audition is simply to determine your most comfortable voice part and where you best fit into our fine choirs. Do not let this scare you.  We want to see you do your best and will help you along the way.  We get a lot of questions about the Lafayette Choir audition process.  We want everyone who has an interest in singing to be a part of our groups.  We have a place for everyone

For incoming freshmen the following are typical for auditions:  Men’s choir and Beginning Women’s Choir as well as SCAPA voice majors do not require an audition.
Auditions for Advanced Women’s Choir typically occur in late March.  If you are will be a sophomore - senior, contact Mr. Marsh for information.  Current Lafayette choir students, will audition in the Spring as part of your class requirements.
