Congratulations on being selected for Kentucky All-State Choir. You are part of an outstanding tradition.

Costs:
All-State fees will be announced in early November and are usually due the first week of December. Fees are typically under $200. This includes music, registration, hotel, one meal at Spaghetti Factory and motorcoach transportation to Louisville on Wednesday of All-State. Additional Costs: Consider that you need meals for the 2 and-a-half days you are in Louisville. Please budget accordingly. There are several choices around the convention area for meals including a food court attached to the hotel.

Music:
Your music will be supplied for you along with your assigned voice part. You should provide a black binder to take with you to All-State
Required District Rehearsal:
Held at Georgetown College each January (click for date), attendance at this rehearsal (or in another district) is required by KMEA All-State rules. You will be responsible for your own transportation to this event. Carpooling is suggested.
Travel:
All-State is an approved field trip and will require two days of absences. This Itinerary may change do to All-State requirements or unforeseen circumstances.
You are responsible for getting your own ride home from All-State. I must have in writing (Return Travel Form) when and how you are planning to return to Lexington on Friday or Saturday. Students are not allowed to drive themselves!
Attire:
Men: Black dress slacks, long-sleeve white dress shirt, long tie, dark dress shoes, dark socks (no jackets, tuxedos, or vests).
Women: Long (ankle-length) solid black dress. A two-piece black skirt and black top are acceptable. Black dress shoes and black hose. (no sleeveless dresses or tops, no “prom” dresses, spaghetti strap or off-the-shoulder dresses, plunging necklines or slacks will be allowed on stage the night of the concert).
For Parents:
Ticket Information: Tickets will go on sale at the Kentucky Center starting December 15th. Parents and friends wishing to attend the concert must purchase tickets directly from the Kentucky Center Ticket Office.
