As you can understand, Fundraising is a crucial part of a successful school music program. In order for us to offer first-class opportunities to your student, we must all participate in fund raising. Planning and implementing fundraising is the primary responsibility of the Chorus Booster Association.
The Choral Department and Boosters work hard to keep student costs low for trips and other activities and work to offset those low fees with fundraising efforts. Please keep in mind all of the often unseen, behind the scenes expenses when considering your level of commitment to fundraising. Boosters encourage and support ownership in the entire program from all students and families at all levels. Your help is a necessity to continue the support of this outstanding program. Your child is worth it!

FUNDRAISER OVERVIEW
SPONSORSHIP CAMPAIGN - August - Sept 1
Sponsorship provides an opportunity for area businesses and patrons to show their support for arts education and the LHS choral program. In return for a sponsor’s generous support we will provide several advertising opportunities during our choral concert season. The campaign is the most important fundraiser of the year. We ask each student to sell two ads.
OPT-OUT DONATION - Year-Round
We expect 100% participation in fundraising efforts. If fundraising is not for you, we ask that you consider giving a $75 opt-out donation to help us meet the fundraising needs of the organization. Opt-out donation covers the 3 main sales fundraisers of the year (Cookie Dough, Dining Club Books, and Candy Sales). It does not include Sponsorship Campaign.
GALA / SILENT AUCTION - Early October
The first annual chorus gala and silent auction was a tremendous success. This is another one of the ways the Chorus Boosters are trying to offer fundraising opportunities that do not require students selling a product! Consider supporting this effort by volunteering for a committee or soliciting a donation for the auction, or providing food!
COOKIE DOUGH - First two weeks of October
Another great fundraiser for the chorus is Baker Jo’s Cookie Dough! The product is excellent! And it arrives just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday!
RAFFLE - November
Our second largest fundraiser for the year is the Lexington Dining Club book! All Vocal Music students will receive two copies of our personalized Lexington Diner’s Club Books that we will selling to raise money for the department as well as give students the opportunity to bank credits in their chorus account. For more information about this fund raiser – ask your student to see the order form/info sheet or visit our web site which gives the details of the sales.
CANDY SALES - January
Everybody likes Candy! More info to come.
ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISERS
Throughout the year opportunities may come our way to raise additional funds. Please consider giving of your time if you are contacted.
